SALICYLIC ACID (BHA)

Salicylic acid is an oil-soluble exfoliant that penetrates deep into the pores to remove buildup that can lead to blackheads and breakouts.

It works by dissolving the mixture of oil and dead skin cells that clog pores, helping to clear and smooth the skin from within.

Unlike surface-level ingredients, salicylic acid targets the root of congestion for visibly clearer, more balanced skin.

HYDROCOLLOID

Hydrocolloid is a medical-grade material first developed for hospital wound care.

When applied to the skin, it forms a protective seal that absorbs excess oil, moisture, and debris from within the pores over several hours.

It clears buildup gently without pulling or irritating the surrounding skin.

How hydrocolloid dressings absorb and protect

  1. Cleanse: Wash your face and dry thoroughly.
  2. Exfoliate: Apply the salicylic acid exfoliant to a cotton pad or your palms. Gently sweep over the face and nose, avoiding the eye area. Do not rinse.
  3. Absorb: Allow about 30 seconds for the exfoliant to fully absorb.
  4. Apply patch: Place the patch over your nose and press gently.
  5. Remove: Leave on for 6 to 8 hours, then peel off slowly in the morning.

Important: For best results, apply the exfoliant as part of your evening routine.

If you’re new to exfoliating acids, start with once a week for the first month to help your skin build tolerance. Gradually increase to two to three times per week, and eventually to daily or every other day as your skin adjusts.

Use the nose patches twice a week or whenever your pores feel congested.

Always apply SPF during the day, as exfoliants can increase sun sensitivity.
